Little effort, big difference

Repairs that only affect the fringes or the side edge (in technical terms “Shirazi” or “Salvege”) are usually not very complex and change the appearance of the carpet considerably. Fringes that are completely damaged usually have to be drawn again. However, there are also cases in which the fringes can still be saved. The fringes are fastened again with a certain knotting technique (in technical language called '”Dogere”). This helps with further disintegration of the carpet structure by preservation. This also applies to damaged margins.
